A face-achingly funny night of alternative comedy, where anything can happen and quite often does

Nincompoop was the South West’s most absurd and best alternative comedy event, a night out that showcased the very best new ideas in comedy, clowning, fooling, slapstick, mime, audience participation, mischief and tomfoolery.

Every month the people of Bristol and Exeter, let their nincompoop loose as they embroiled themselves in performing and watching unpredictable and side-splitting acts from the funniest and bravest people, safe in the knowledge that sometimes the worst ideas are the best ones of all!

Nincompoop started out at The Greenbank Pub in Easton, Bristol, before moving to be part of the bill at The Wardrobe Theatre, and The Bike Shed Theatre in Exeter.

Nincompoop was Lucy’s ugly comedy baby. She created, hosted and promoted the night, ran clowning workshops and created her own solo clown show ‘Wake Up and Deirealize’ all under the banner of Nincompoop. Being a parent was a humbling and educational experience from which Lucy hopes to never fully recover.
