Apples and Angels

Wassail Theatre Company

2021

An open-air promenade event , celebrating the power of human connection and the communities that surround us.

“The problem with never giving up is that forever’s a long time.”

Pete’s organising a wedding for the Mallard family at Burrow Hill but the bride’s disappeared!

Two years ago to the day, Pete married Babs in a glorious, tragic wedding where something similar happened. Today Muriel, Pete and Babs find themselves at the bottom of Burrow Hill, looking for the things they’ve lost and so much more.

Can Lil help them before the spirits of the orchard converge and it’s all too late?

Over the past five years, Wassail has been taking audiences on magical storytelling adventures through Pete & Ivan’s Tours of Somerset: via horse-drawn carts, three-wheel bikes and on foot.

This is the final chapter of Pete’s story, and the start of a whole new adventure. If this is your first tour with Pete, you’re in safe hands. Mostly!

The performance took place among the idyllic orchards of Burrow Hill, situated at Somerset Cider Brandy Company in Kingsbury Episcopi, South Somerset. Audiences and performers traversed uneven grassy ground through rain or shine.
